Maybe you can actually start judging aesthetics when you stop creditfeeding games and comparing the amount of credits their ports give you to determine their difficulty.

having icycalm's asstastic article in your sig != not creditfeeder. All shiki 2 ports give you 3 credits while the shiki 3 port gives you free play. shiki 2 can be gotten to 3-1 to 4-1 in just two tries by most people while shiki 3 has more intimidating patterns, a better scoring system, and an asshole third stage.

Ex-Seibu and Ex-Taito means I would also accept some sort of combination between Raiden DX and Rayforce.

Too bad GD-ROMs are out of the picture. NAOMI development hasn't been uninteresting this year, and NAOMI->PS2 ports generally suffer. Guess we'll see how X360 development continues.

I kind of wonder who's been working on Raiden III and IV, then. I was thinking the relevant Seibu people were at Moss. Or Triangle Service. Actually I have no idea what the hell is going on in the industry these days, too many companies with too much collaboration makes confusion.

Just a random note I'm not sure anybody is going to care about, but the game will be playable at the Sega booth at the amusement show in September. I have a couple of friends going to the show, so I'm going to see if I can convince them to get a couple of pictures of the game in action.

I highly doubt it will be much like either.

If I were to speculate as to specificially which Seibu staff are involved, I would guess the RF/2/J, since much of the original Raiden/2/DX team have found themselves involved in other projects.

Showichi Yano is the main one I'm curious about. I hadn't heard about him being involved with Moss though.

I can't read names, but in the RF INH book they had an interview with someone who's been with Seibu since Raiden 2 and had a credit in Raiden 3. I don't know if it's T- Saito or Showichi Yano, as they both appeared in Seibu at around the same time.

Both were the brains of the RF series, regardless, and considering Go Satou has found himself being employed by other people it's likely that either or both of these two are working at Gulti.

Well if they were working for Moss wouldn't it be unlikely that they were at Gulti.

But this question is easily answered by reading the credits of Raiden III. I haven't the time right now, but if anyone has the credits or cares to get them, I'd say any key figures that are absent there could make likely suspects.

Of Moss, I'm pretty sure only two people from Seibu worked there (Go Satou being one of them, of course.) The credits in my copy of Raiden 3 are in Japanese, but I'm pretty sure anyone with a US copy can find the credits for us, unless the Japanese credits were redacted with the localization staff's.
