Rev would never be able to aquire the data to make an upgrade if they never released the game in the first place. If you happen to be a private owner as opposed to a Japanese arcade operator, well then tough shit, you'll have to get the new version if you want it that bad.
Yeah, I guess so.

Once again, I love G-rev and Senko no Ronde, but being in the arcade hobby for nearly 10 years I can say that it's never a good thing to hear about a new version the second you just plunged down the cash for the old version. Take Ibara black label for example. The upgrade from regular Ibara was so well done and the time spacing between releases was very appropriote. The problem with SP is that most arcade games are released within a few months from the Loke test, not 9. I'm all for the game, I just hope the timing is more on par with your estimate than mine. Maybe you don't understand what I'm saying, am I the only person on these boards that owns Senko no Ronde?
You're right that I don't spend hundreds of dollars to buy arcade releases for my own personal enjoyment. That isn't what they're made for. And I don't see how this is any different than what was done with every other fighting game in the last 6 years nor do I get why you're so happy with the Ibara upgrade, even though that's not a competitive game and shouldn't need revisions.

ResOGlas is just mad because he spent a stupid amount for Senko No Ronde and now his version will be all old. Not like it matters because he said earlier that he can't even see any major differences in the one he has. Who would when you arn't playing at tourny level in Japan, at an arcade that makes money off these games, with operators who like the updates so they keep players coming back.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.

Maybe you're right about the recent fighters, I'm mainly into the classics as far as those go. As far as being a home arcade gamer, I don't expect everyone to be. I'd much rather pay 3 times as much $ for a perfect version than a port. Luckily, as of recent many ports are finally becoming competitive and even better than the arcade with titles like RevX for 360.

And for Ibara Black Label...The original version is so inferior it makes baby Jesus cry. ;) But in all seriousness, I like that there are many very noticable gameplay changes as opposed to Dai Ou Jou Black Label.

maybe we should all play Warcraft III or Starcraft instead if that's the case. Even Blizzard Entertainment has really involved beta testing, and they STILL release gameplay balances on the game's launch date, and still update the game as periodically as G.Rev is doing with their game.

Also, I'm sorta jealous of you for paying for so much money on the arcade version. I want to play it too!

VF4 A, B1, B2, C.

VF4Evo A, B.

VF4FT A, B.

That's not including loketest versions, and I think there was some version of Evo with Brad, but not Goh, iirc.
OT, but there's only 3 of the first, and 2 of Evo and FT. (I'd bet my house on it.) A came out, and was seriously slanted. (Vanessa & Jacky's evasive kick's were guard breaks, etc.) B came out about 3 months later, and still had issue (Shun and Aoi were stupid strong). Then C finally came out in January, about 2 days before the PS2 version (which is also version C).

Both location tests of Evo had Brad and Goh, but many moves of all characters were either not available, or later taken out. [/quote]
I'm also pretty sure new versions (A, B, etc.), are free
upgrades.
Yes, they were, but Evo and FT were brand new games, at FULL price, even though they technically weren't "new games". Evo was understandable. FT was unforgiveable.

And cheap!

Soooooooooo....... Did anyone take the time to go to the loke test? Seems strange that no one knows what this game is and the loke test happened over 10 days ago. Just curious.
