Movie/television Shmups.

There is, I think one Shmup released based on movies/television.
Airwolf also called Skywolf...A great shmup of the '80.

Are there more released??

Steel Empire and Gunhead were both based on movies from the early 90's.

Really? I never knew that Steel Empire was based on a movie. What was the film like? I have a fondness for steampunk, and would be intrested in seeing it if it was any good.

I think he's refering to Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa, but the game is not actually based on that movie. Inspired by it? Maybe.
