Toaplan / Cave Connection
Toaplan / Cave Connection
Who where the guys from Toaplan that formed Cave? Also, didn't the some guys from Video System join Cave, or was that Psikyo?
Kenichi Takano (president of Cave) and Tsuneki Ikeda (chief programmer/director on all of their shmups) are ex-Toaplan guys. Also Akira Wakabayashi ( i forgot his surname, it ends in yashi i think
EDIT: corrected the name
) worked on many of their titles and was Toaplan. Other Toaplan guys went to Gazelle (a sub-section of Banpresto?) and Shinobu Yagawa worked at Raizing. The Psikyo guy was Shin Nakamura, who worked at Video System.

I would really like to know. Legend says that Shinobu Yagawa (the guy behind the Bat- Raizing shmups) did, but it's totally uncofirmed. At any case, Tsuneki Ikeda should have started working at Toaplan with Slap Fight Alcon (unconfirmed) and he surely has worked on Tatsujin (interview with Gamest as a proof, dunno about the number in which it appears).chtimi wrote: do you know if any cave dudes worked on twin cobra? that would be something.
