Are the 'original' Astro and New Astro Speaker panels interchangeable? It looks like it's just a drop in plate, but I don't know for sure. The more I look at it, the more the original Astro speakers scream "I am sexy" to me... anyone know if there's any chance of finding one?
Yes they do look interchangeable (I have both). You could just as easily replace the entire front housing with a New Astro. Now finding something like this would be next to impossible, outside of just buying a whole new cab. So it doesn't seem worth it. They both look sexy to me.
bummer... perhaps I'll search for someone to trade then... I have a New Astro... but I've been digging on the original Astro speaker panel for some reason
