Mushihimesama PS2 pre-orders confirmed! (was: Is this real?)
I emailed NCS and here is my response:
Hi Brian, thanks for your email. Cave has not started official preorders for Mushihimesama on the PS2 yet but we'll be glad to contact you once we have news from their distributor in Tokyo and when we start preorders. Thanks for checking with us.
Regards,
NCS, Inc

Man, I hope this Play-Asia pre-order thing doesn't start another controversy with Cave! Its bad enough Ketsui went away.
As for Taito doing the release, with the previous comment on GWG, this could be a real concern for Mushihime. Either way, I'm happy as if the port sucks, the PCB will most likely come down within my range.

Exactly, look at what happened about 3 years ago with the Ikaruga DC port which was leaked first by NCSX. Treasure sort of denied it and jokingly danced around it awhile until it was confirmed that summer. Late May 02 or early June IIRC. That was great news to come home to after I got back from E3.jiji wrote:Many times, release information will leak out through distributor channels via retailer solicitations. It's happened before, with Play-Asia and other retailers. P-A generally don't list an order page for a game if it's not going to be released, so I think this is most likely legit.

Why would a business like play asia tick off their customers with an April fool's joke? Plus as someone else said, the OST is just about to be released, it'd be hard for a reliable, trusted import company like Play Asia to mix that up with an actual game unless the e-mail was sent by a new employee who got something wrong. If anything, maybe this finally confirms the "Mushihime consumer game" item which was found in a fairly recent Cave corporate report?
Anyways, this is very cool, I will pre-order soon assuming this is true. Can you use paypal on their site?

Cool, thanks jiji.jiji wrote:Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can. I remember seeing the logo on the payment-selection page.Dylan1CC wrote:Anyways, this is very cool, I will pre-order tonight. Can you use paypal on their site?
Ditto, I'd be enraged if Taito left out TATE. But I doubt Cave would allow them to butcher their little masterpiece that way. I think leaving out TATE instead of the pre-order leak would make them more angry but then again, what do i know what goes on in their minds?Dave_K. wrote:Man, I hope this Play-Asia pre-order thing doesn't start another controversy with Cave! Preordered. Even if it turns out to be a mistake and play-asia have to cancel all the preorders, if they get enough they might be able to point out to Cave that they could have sold 'x' copies if they really did port it.
