Joker Jun- Is he back at CAVE?
I've been playing a LOT of shooters lately on MAME, and importing(it's bliss!), and i've noticed that I preffered CAVE games when Joker Jun was doing the designs. I have ESP Galuda and Ibara, and other than the the cool character designs for Ibara, I find the overall designs to be lacking(comparatively). I remember when I got Galuda, and was quite pleased with it's easier gameplay, and then popped in DDP DOJ and was like "wow, this looks much better", even though I don't like that game(too hard for me).
Is Joker Jun working at Cave again(I read something like that), or is he still gone? His design work for ESP RADE, GUWANGE, and PROGEAR(not to mention the DDP games) was just wonderful. Guwange was practially a work of art, design wise.
Also, am I giving him too much credit? Did he do the ships and background designs, or just the main characters?

He is a good artist, but his last good designs were in Guwange when he was drawing more than children.

The artist is Haccan:

I really like Tomoyuki Kotani (Ibara, Pink Sweets) as well.

They're both up there with Joker Jun, imo.
Muchi Muchi Pork's art really is complete shit and unworthy of the Cave label though (to the point that it makes me not want to play the game). Looks like it's something by Milestone.

what did you guys think of the sound effects in that one? : P
Yeah- I personally don't like the style of some of the newer stuff- but I don't neccearily think it's bad- It's just out of the norm of what I am used to seeing in my shooters. Call me crazy- but fat chicks flying around can't beat laser-beam weilding helicopters/spaceships of death! Call me a big kid, but I'm having trouble getting into MMP and such.
With that being said- I hold a strong curiosity for the next Cave game..especially since I heard it being compared to a 'hori guwange' at one point...lolis or not that would be pretty neat.

it's ok in the game but i wouldn't hang it on a wall or put an effort to aquire more of it.MMP artwork really cool. Fun and unusual
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

It actually got the first update in 10 months on 08.16, for which he apologizes. He also does say, "I am now working on a game", although he says "TV Game" which usually denotes a console title, not arcade. I still think he's referring to Cave's upcoming.
