How much does the JPN version of X2 goes for?

well, in Japan about 3 months ago I saw quite a few all around 1000 yen. The PAL version is also v v cheap.

Pal version = 50hz

Also I don't have a PAL Playstation 2.

But outside Japan how much does it goes for?

How much are you thinking of paying for it?

It shouldn't be any more than $15-20 US

I actually really enjoyed it. I originally picked up the PAL version and coz i liked it so much i tracked down the jap version. I think i paid about £20 -roughly $30- $35 for it.

The Jap version is actually a better version than the PAL version- its more balanced, easier to get back into if you lose a life.
The PAL version can be very unforgiving if you miss a power up or lose a life.

I recommend you track down a copy- took me some time tho

You're not likely to find the JP version for that price, unless it's falling apart...in my experience it goes for around 40.

No this game isn't worth 40 bucks in my opinion. I'd pay at most 20-25 bucks. I'd rather buy something else with 40 bucks.

Yes, the Japanese version is tweaked gameplay-wise and much more fun. If you need this game, go for that one.

I think $20 is about right. I bought mine on Ebay from a US seller for $25 a year ago. That was right after I made the mistake of buying the PAL version, which goes for almost nothing. I see one on Yahoo Japan for 1780 yen right now. Come to think of it, I do remember seeing a new copy listed on Ebay from a Japanese seller for $78, I think, when I bought mine. But you know how some things can get priced pretty ridiculously there, so I wouldn't put much stock in that figure.

I enjoyed the game well enough. In fact I thought the graphics were quite nice for a PlayStation game. Team 17 and Capcom worked on the Japanese version and those are names I have respect for. But then I collect console shooter's as a hobby, and you know.... it's a gotta have 'em all kinda thing.

For some reason it reminds me of Axelay. Another beautiful looking shooter that switches back and forth from horizontal to vertical.
I hope you come across a copy in your price range. I don't think you'll regret the purchase.

Don't expect it to be nowhere near-Axelay quality. Keep your expectations low, and you'll find a fairly enjoyable game: moreover, a great 2D graphics showcase.

I bought this game (jpn version) about 8 years ago for about $10 I think... I remember playing it once, hating it, and never playing it again. Since this thread popped up I decided to break it out again, and... well it's still no good =/ The gameplay just isn't there, and the enemy attacks are uninspired; most of them don't even fire at you before you shoot 'em down... don't expect much out of it I say.
