Hi guys, this is my first post. :)

Right now I've been really obsessed with Espgaluda, both Arcade and Arrange mode. I'm really waiting for a port of Espgaluda II though; I like it much more. Unfortunately, I'm not in Japan anymore, so I don't have access to it in arcades. My vacation to Tokyo was just way too short.

Been playing Batrider. Trying to clear normal mode, but falling short on the 5th stage...

Anyway, being an SFC fan I have mostly been playing shooters from the system over the last few weeks!

Blazeon (terrible in a groovy kind of way)
Spriggan Powered (excellent, only just bought a copy last week from ebay!)
Hehe, welcome SFK!

When it comes to Super Famicom there is only one shooter worth playing....Area 88. 8)

You'll be waiting awhile, Im afraid.... it would seem that Cave isnt porting anything anymore. Unless something has changed.

Which is very..... annoying.

I want a copy of Mushihime Futari, myself..... but if I wanna get one, it's gotta be a PCB costing about $700, I think is the current price.....

Bah!

And as for me, still playing Strikers 1 and 2. And Death Label; Im determined to beat that and see what the 2nd loop is like.

No ports? :(

Oh well, more motivation for me to move to Japan after I'm done with college. Not to mention, this is probably better for the longevity of arcades.

havent played anything for weeks, so i popped in mushi and ketsui in my cabs to have a go.

i have a fever, sprained wrist (got a huge bandage on my right arm) AND a torn up knee.. basically feeling like shit.. but ofcourse it means im playing great! (well.. for me atleast  )

filled the ketsui scoreboard with +70mil scores and did 2 +20mil runs on mushi original, no new personal highs but still, pretty close on both and quite consistent too.

..i tell ya, not even einstein could have figured a theory on the physics of how shmups-playing works :?: :P

Did you experience Axelay, U.N.Squadron or Space Megaforce [Super Aleste] ?
Yep, have them all!
Axelay is OK, Area 88 is excellent (bad slowdown) Super Aleste isn't bad, but I am not a fan of vertical shooters :(

This, if it counts. I've been loving this game. If only online wasn't a wasteland.

I'll be away from my 360 for a week or so, though, so it'll be MAME stuff.

DoDonPachi, with a little Giga Wing on the side now for me.

Note to self: Never play DoDonPachi immediately after Giga Wing. You can't reflect bullets there.

Well, I just got back from an anime convention in Iowa, where by some unholy miracle I found a copy of ESPGaluda for the PS2 (THE shmup I've been wanting for like 3 months now).

So, that's my recent playlist right there......

And I have to say, that's probably my favorite shmup now, maybe even over Giga Wing (though very close, lol, Giga Wing is still silly awesome).

Gonna work on scoring, I will; I just love the scoring mechanics in this game. What a blast..... though I dont FULLY understand it just yet. I'll read up on it, though.

And Arrange Mode adding the bit that Im familiar with from ESP Ra.De..... that was too awesome.

The only bad thing: They ALSO had Ibara and Giga Wing Generations there..... 2 others I want...... but there wasnt enough money :(

As it is, I sorta spent money I didnt entirely have to get this one.....

Just bought Ibara. Tomorrow, when I'm back at home I will start. I hope I won't be too bad. And I will also play some Espgaluda and Mushihimesama again.

DoDonPachi Dai-ou-jou's Death Label mode.

Had my best run ever earlier: I managed to hit 1,100,000,000 points earlier.... my best score yet.

Mostly because I somehow utterly murderized the 4th boss.... I spent the next couple minutes yelling "HOW THE HELL DID I DO THAT?!?!?"

And I got to Hibachi's 2nd form for the first time today!

For the 1st form, the 1st attack, I know HOW to dodge it, but I never do it right.... the 2nd attack (blue spirals), I found out how to deal with that one, it's not as bad as I'd thought, dodged that entirely. The third attack, the "lines", THAT was annoying as heck....

And then the 2nd form came out, started firing, and I panicked..... :x

I dont tire of this game, I really dont.

That, and also some more ESPGaluda (love!) and Strikers 2; stupid 5th stage being a pain, gotta learn that one better. At least the BOSS on that stage isnt so bad.

Finally 1cc'ed Giga Wing.

ooh, Im all excited now.

Very nearly did it on a single ship, too; but in the "true" final fight against the Stranger, I somehow managed to crash into his ship

Wow, this is my first 1cc in AWHILE.

Next I'll work on Galuda.

Well, despite saying I was gonna start on Galuda, I ended up just playing Giga Wing all night again....

Working on scoring now. The score I posted in the hi-score thread for that game wasnt bad, but could be a heck of alot better.

And expecting Giga Wing Generations in the mail tomorrow..... ack, wanna play it NOW.....

I really just dont ever tire of this game. Love the heck outta it.

Gradius Gaiden.

I just got it in the mail so I'm testing it.

It's perfect.

(I must confess that my dear shmups are stepping aside for Mario Strikers Charged right now. Hangs his head in shame.)

I think this may be the most excited anyone has been to play Giga Wing Generations since 2005. Don't forget to bump the score thread. Watch out for the dust.

Trying to recreate my 1.4 mil highscore on Twinbee. Why? So I can get an .inp of it of course!

...Yeah, I'm having a hard time doing it with so little motivation.

I'll probably be testing the Seibu-waters the rest of the week since school starts for everybody except me tomorrow, so I'll have more free time then usual.
