SR Shooting Video Game History Gashapon ...Preorder now!!

Post by Sundance »

This is a bit nifty as far as gashapon go. I thought i'd collected all that i wanted after the Fist of the Northstar Gashapon came out but it looks like this may be a necessity. I'm especially happy to see the Darius Gaiden one. I don't think that game gets enough attention.

Gradius 2 featuring Metarion

 does this mean what I think it means...

Are the actually making a gashapon of the totally obscure MSX/X68000 only Gradius 2 viper called "Metalion"?????

In any case... i just preordered this as I would never forgive myself missing out on this.

Thanks for the heads up Sundance. :)

According to the FC manual, the Metalion is the your craft even in Gradius II (Famicom).

What about the model T301 for gradius? I thought that was the GV model.

Man I want these... shame they'll be tiny though... won't they cost a lot more once you have to front the shipping?

Little known fact: NCSX will ship USPS if you request it in the info box. More often then not its only around $5 or $7 for most games and small items.

laydock´s buying confirmation mail wrote:Will ship via: USPS Global Priority Mail [Foreign]
Subtotal: $20.00
Shipping: $24.28
Sales Tax: $0.00
------------------
Total: $44.28
So that´s more for shipping than for the actual items.
This is international shipping to the Netherlands though... but yes shipping is expensive I suppose even if yo´re in the US.

Gashapon would be fun to collect if they weren't so expensive. At the most they should be 100 yen each.

And one can buy such gashapon for upwards of 500 yen on the actual vending machines themselves... ^_~

Arrow-Head! I wonder if it has a transparent bar or something so its bits can "float" in position.

They should have also made the X-002 from X Multiply, with bendy tentacles.

That's interesting, I thought the Metalion was only on the MSX. I've never played the FC game, but in the arcade and PCE Gradius II your ship's definitely Vic Viper.

Metalion's also the name of the star that planet Gradius orbits, by the way.

Yes, Metalion is the sun of the Gradians people.

The ship in Gradius II Arcade is confirmed to be Vic Viper, the BP-827Z Model.

The problem with telling Metalion from Vic Viper in the games is that they look the same.

Damn, those look beautiful! Normally I'm content to admire toy collections from afar, but I'm kind of tempted. Especially with the Silver Hawk on there. And although I've not played Image Fight, the Deadelus looks like a badass ship design.

Still, the game will not be a shmup and probably, for the most part, unplayable for non-japanese (let alone interesting for people into fast paced games like shmups...) ppl.

Nice try to lure me in though... this fish just won´t bite. ;)

Chances is I ***might*** be able to get these set in the local store when it is finally out. Not 100% for sure for this.

But if I do I am pretty sure I could ship the set to you guys at a lower postage cost.

Ooh they are so beautiful <3 Too bad I'm not into toys, all they do is take space and collect dust. Anyway, needs more criminally neglected Salamander ships:

"Thrasher" (should probably be "Slasher"...)
