Alter's Trigger Heart Exelica PVC model out Dec '07 - WTF!?

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Get a load of this...there are plans to bring out a 1/8th scale PVC-based pre-painted & pre-built model of Trigger Heart Exelica character from the Sega Naomi and DC shmup title of the same name by model maker Alter (based out of Japan). She looks mighty damn fine with all her exotic weaponry by her side... ^_~

It will finally be shipping in December of 2007 at a asking price of $149 USD and NCSX will be carrying it for those interested in it... ^_~

Makes me wonder if a sexy hentai or "topless" variant of Exelica will be produced in the nearby future -- never say never when it comes to Japanese garage kits, one-offs & the like... ^_~

And are there any other new shmup-related PVC models or ABS plastic model kits that we should know about besides this Exelica PVC model?

There's always scratch-building of such prototype shmup models to consider as well... ^_~

So a lower price point might tide you into getting one perhaps? ^_~

This Exelica PVC model ain't a doll but rather a very detail static model display. Since it falls into the shmups related merchandise swag category -- it does warrant a purchase to compliment your DC GD-Rom (or if one can afford the more expensive Naomi GD-Rom kit) of Exelica... ^_~

Oh yeah?

The only thing to compliment my copy of Exelica would be some SKILLZ

If I collected any of these doll thingies, it would be one of those bitchin Vic Viper models I saw somewhere. I would make it tear ass around my bedroom. VROOOOM

Pentarou's my hero, of course I would buy that, too bad they don't make it.

Personally instead of a doll I would like to find a 1/8 scale Cho Aniki muscle man to keep by my bed. He would remind me to be strong and erect. Do you know where I could find this PCEFanX?

Lol, since that Cho Aniki muscle man model you're looking for would have to be a custom built one-off model...and this reference to being "strong and erect", would it be pertaining to your posture (or is it something else entirely), right? Just j/k'ing here... ^_~

Yeah I've had my eye on that kit over at Hobbyfan for a while. I dont know why though since I wouldn't know how to paint it. Anyway I wouldn't hold your breath for it. According to Hobbyfan it was supposed to be released a while back but they keep pushing back the date. I think it might be one of those deals were the manufacturers are waiting to see if the get enough pre-orders before they decide whether to go into production or not. The figure might just get scrapped in the end. Then again I think possibly Hobbyfan are just playing the guessing game since they've got it listed at 1/6 scale for a cheaper price?

We're talking about two different things here:
Hobbyfan kit: 1/6 scale recast of some Wonderfest model. Will need painting/assembly.
Alter figure: 1/8 scale completed pvc loosely based on said Wonderfest model. Will not need any painting or assembly. And is too expensive, even if it's made by Alter.
