I actually remember getting this video in the mail back in 1989.

As soon as I saw Blazing Lazers, I knew I had to have one.

I want to know what the game is at 9:08. It's an on-the-ground Space Harrier.

Also, Heavy Unit blows.

Lies, it's pretty fun. It has a transforming mecha as the lead, what's not to love?
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

It's unrewarding, uninteresting and excruciatingly difficult game play.
Has some neat design regardless.

Actually, it's pretty easy once you're fully powered up. Then again, the whole "One death and you're screwed" syndrome is in full effect.

It's pretty easy after the first 30 seconds. I even made a "superplay", if it deserves to be called such, of the game long while ago. Downloadable at my site.

That video has 2 really interesting moments.

One when they show the stereo sound enhancer, and then you hear one horrible chip tune, that sounds worse than most NES stuff.

And then, the most LOL moment is when they show up the CD add-on, and then show, erm , "FIGHTING STREET" as a CD game.... one game that could easily fit in a Hu-Card, and that SUCKS HORRIBLY. Even funnier is when the screen shows Ryu having his ass kicked, and then cut to the guys like they had WON the fight. Heh :)

Oh yeah, when they compare Drunken Master to NES Kung-Fu Master...

Yeah, the video is total cheese; that's why it's on YouTube.

But I disagree, the music to Legendary Axe is really well composed with a great jungly theme running through all the songs.

Plus the game was never named Drunken Master. Only "The Kung-Fu" or "Chinawarrior".

marketing, you'll have a blast even when you're losing at a crappy game. :)
