G-Darius wasn't made for a 3-screen setup, and none of the screenshots make it look like its's a 3-screen game.

Are you sure this info is correct?

G.Darius ver.2 is just a tweaked revision of G.Darius - scoring fixes etc.
There is no three-screen support, so don't cream your pants over it. ^_-

Coinop is not the most reliable source. Not even system16 is reliable. That's why I really appreciate sites that know from hands on experience.

Hi, just to say that I found a game center with a Darius cab (3 screens), a Darius II cab (2 screens) and a Warrior Blade (2 screens). This game center is called "Mikado", and is in the Shinjuku Kabukichou, close to the Seibu Shinjuku station. Enjoy guys  :

Thanks for the heads up A-M. Someone told me about this place at Assembler forum a few months ago. I will have to pay a visit next time I'm in Japan.

I was hooked on the Darius cab when it first appeared in London's Golden Nugget arcade. We also played a fair bit of Sagaia, including the prototype. Sagaia was the double screen that my mate KAC put his fist through in the Trocadero arcade. Loudest SMASHING of glass I ever heard!
We played Ninja Warriors on that setup too.
It was ZUNTATA that really made those games awesome.

Warrior Blade never appeared in the London arcades.

That 3 X Megalo 50s setup posted by ARCADIA is indeed awesome  .

Bloodflowers - I remember you telling me that you sold your Ninja Warriors cab. Its true that it must have taken up A LOT of space, but its a real piece of history

Tgat was awesome. Thanks. Incredible. One day perhaps we might even see the 3-screen version of Darius in action on youtube.

First Darius is terrible to play nowadays. Darius II was so much better.

Darius II still wasn't outstanding. And I say that as a Darius fan.

Still better than the first game.

Then again, in my opinion it was the best Taito shmup of the 80s (just about most, if not all Taito 80s shmups were either lame or suck).

Oh yeah, its definitely a lot better in every way possible and I would still kill to play a real Darius or Darius II machine.

I did the same. Arcade cab porn basically. I'm drooling all about it.

So - anyone guess how it might work? 3 separate PCBs running slightly ahaed/behind so it all fits together like a jigsaw puzzle? But then how would you move your ship from one screen to another? Can you even do that?

This it what Darius II looks like (Dual screen version, I presume). I don't get it, how does this work? Obviously one PCB per screen, but what about the other parts?

Another thing about Darius II in Mame. Button 3 has the game slow down, what is the purpose of this? Was it on the original board, and if so, why?

I still want pictures of the sides of a Darius II cabinet.

Pretty please.
