Batrider. I've managed to clear normal course twice in two days. The last time was great. Killed Hayate, then fought Blunt, Envy and Sobut. Good times...

At this very moment Dimahoo(just got around to playing it).

Other than that:

Battle Bakraid(I don't see why this doesn't get as much props as Garegga. I think it's everything Garegga is, with better graphics and bullets you can see!)
Guwange
EspRade
Gradius V(drool)
Thunderforce IV(what a classic!)
DoDonPachi

Good stuff, man.

It's the off putting suicide chaining score system that does it.

Oh, I see. I only play for survival, so I guess that's why I never noticed the score system.

Wha wha wha what?!?

Nothing in Bakraid even touchs the detail in Garegga.

rookie mistake, forgiven

I hate that little hook on the back of the plane. And if you set rapid fire on the ship emits 360° of electric death. The challenge on the stages seemed pretty uninteresting. The appeal looks to be goofiness and graphics, kinda the perfect recap game. Maybe I played it too briefly, but it didn't seem at all promising.

DoDonPachi DOJ.

Played for MUCH too long tonight....

Finally starting to do GOOD, though.

Used Hyper to kill the 2nd boss with a 1200-something hit combo (with the Max Bomb multiplier) and didnt die......

You have NO idea just how satisfying that was.

Clobbered the heck outta the 3rd boss as well, that one really isnt all that hard.

Practicing on stage 4/5 currently.

Hibachi (first form, is just first loop) is the only boss that really gives me trouble anymore, if Im playing for survival.

That first attack isnt all that bad, if Im paying attention, but that 2nd attack sure is.......

Not even gonna TRY to hyper HIM just yet. Can fight with hyper beam against the other 4 to some degree at least (only half the fight for 4th one), but Hibachi, um, no.

And stage 3 is still the most annoying stage.

Lately I've been working on Salamander 1&2. After I finish 1, it's on to 2. I heard 2 is easier than the original, so I should breeze through after I score the 1CC (yeah right lol).

A healthy dose of getting my ass kicked by Gradius V, followed up with a bit of RayCrisis and maybe Chaos Field.

Power Strike II

Finally got my SMS>MD converter, so I can finally enjoy it in glorious RGB. The graphics beat out many an average MD shooter and the gameplay is pure Compile goodness! :)

Cleared the normal course of Battle Bakraid in about a week. Playing Galaxy Force II, then it's whatever goofy Konami game is picked for STGT07

Playing DoDonPachi DOJ's Death Label mode.

Finally learned how to take the 3rd boss down without dying 5 times.

But must stop forgetting that Exy's laser-bomb heals the 4th one......

And also, Hibachi seems difficult. To put it lightly. Wont be beating him QUITE yet.

Hi Guys..........I'm new around here, was introduced to the forum by Kaede! :)

Anyway, being an SFC fan I have mostly been playing shooters from the system over the last few weeks!

Blazeon (terrible in a groovy kind of way)
Spriggan Powered (excellent, only just bought a copy last week from ebay!)

Blazeon on SFC ? Do you REALLY like it ?

Did you experience Axelay, U.N.Squadron or Space Megaforce [Super Aleste] ?

People always say that. Don't worry about it too much.

Today I've been struggling through those first few horrible hours of Battle Garegga. I decided to try that instead of Bakraid since suiciding seems much less forced. Hell, half the time I get killed in a convenient place anyway.
