BlackHawk Striker 2

Has anyone ever played this game? Trial games are bundled with the new HP Vista PCs. And you can get it off Yahoo Games distributed by a company called wildtangent.

Its an easy shmup with some neat power ups, that modify your heli when you pick them up. Some good 3d graphics with that 2d gameplay, no screen killing bombs though. unless you die. You have 3 choices of helis, blackhawk (balanced) Apache (heavy weapons) and comanche (speed). they all seem to be able to power up and be pretty deadly. So has anyone ever played?

isn't wildtangent the company that installs adware all over your comp?

hoping not. didn't seem to, as I installed the one with the yahoo installer. but I'll double check.

Wildtangent was one of he pioneers of adware but they supposedly no longer use adware.

yeah, its one of those easy shumps, blow everything up that you see really no score mechanics other than killing multiply enemies to get a score bonus. just a fun little jaunt to me. why didn't you like it P_hat? Who else is going to try?

I gave this a whirl, not a bad game (for a basic-style shmup), but it has 2 big problems as I see it;

The 3D graphics can go a bit overboard at times...... there were a buncha points where I thought everything was fine and dandy, and then POW, what the heck, there wasnt anything there!!!

And 2, the hitbox on the stupid helicopter, I never DID find out exactly where it was.....

Sometimes it was like, well I can squeeze through that easily, but then POW, again......

Not bad, but those problems are annoying......
