I differ. Raiden 2 is the only ones I see. You can't go to an arcade in Los Angeles without seeing a Raiden 2 cabinet. Heck the arcade closest to me has 2 of them. But only one location has the game where the shoot button doesn't require you to pound it down to make the lightning laser (or whatever the purple one is called) work.

Wow, so that's where they went! In cali north of Thousand Oaks at least I've found the Raiden Fighters series and the Strikers series to be the most common.
Humans, think about what you have done

Shatterhand wrote: But I disagree Maxi ... from what city are you from? Here in Rio, except maybe the Norte Shopping arcade, I think *EVERY* arcade I know have at least one shmup (Even if it's just Sonic Wings 2, as this gotta be the MOST popular shmup around here ever) . In the Nova America Arcade, they have a Strikers 1945 Plus with some SICK scores on it. I believe there's even a 2-all score there.
Here in Contagem, near Belo Horizonte, Sonic Wings 2 and 3 are very easy to found, but the rest...
I see a Giga Wing 2 machine one time, about 8 or 7 years ago.

In the Norte Shopping arcade, while they don't have any shmups as far as I can remember (Though they used to have a Gigawing there, a long time ago), they have 3 different Metal Slugs, so I think I can forgive them :)

I was at Hersheypark last week. They have a neat little arcade with older games and pinball machines. Not many shmups, but they did have a 1942 in an odd sit down cabinet and a Heavy Unit.

Del, do you share in any of the profits when doing this?
No absolutely not :) . Firstly I don't need the ca$h, and secondly the ca$h is so small that its not worth bothering about. Remember...shoot'em ups hardly ever get played these days.
In fact I do the opposite and have put £1 coins into cabs containing boards from my own collection. I want this particular arcade to survive. It benefits me (gives me somewhere relaxed to hang out with my mates, plus a solid cab to go for scores) and it benefits the arcade.
DEL, I had absolutely no idea these PCB's were from your own collection! I've traveled to London twice over the last 6 months specifically to visit the Casino, and it's been worth every penny each time. Thanks so much for supporting the scene!

Thanks Mr Prolapse, some titles are mine, some are ARC's, some like Mush and Progear actually do belong to Casino arcade.
2 Ketsui boards have been installed over the last 2 years, first belonging to the AWOL ill6 and second to my old friend ARC.
I'm putting Strikers 1945 back in soon, due to a problem with the one in the Trocadero and the fact that Mills needs to practice what he's seen in sven's 2.2mil replay. Its old I know, but it needs to go back in. Ketsui stays, dodon goes.
Check London Meet V thread (in Meets) for further details.
