I remember as a kid my brother had just bought SMB3 the day it came out and we didn't know about the warps yet, so one day about a week later I decided to finally beat the damn thing. Started out fine, running and pouncing on goomba's left and right. Got to about level 5, and my mom says "ok, video game time is over!"

So I think "oh shucks, what should I do now? I know, I'll just turn the t.v. off, leave the game paused, and no one will know!" I go prancing up the stairs, and go along my merry way, thinking about my SMB3 and praying my NES would live.

That night, a terrible storm came. I thought to myself "hm, i can sneak downstairs and finish this biotch up with all the noise outside. ALRIGHT TIMES UP, LETS DO THIS."

I made it all the way to the final castle, and damn were there a lot of doors! After dying a lot, I finally figured out the route, and made it all the way to see bowser. Then, (yea, you guessed it I know) BOOM, a great bolt of lightning struck a tree, knocked out the power line, bye bye NES. I literally started crying from all the time I spent.

Sounds like he's massively overexagerating his talents by implying that loop 256 is harder than loop 10. A master Gradius player? Perhaps, but even I've 1LC'ed any one stage in Gradius on loop 10 and I consider myself quite mediocre in the series.

1. Loops 10 onward are identical. Why he differentiates between loop 13 and loop 256 doesn't make any sense at all.

2. In the US version at least, there's no way to select a loop after loop 10. I'm not sure if the JP version has it but I highly doubt it since that's stupid considering the loops after 10 are the exact same.

And c'mon guys, you're tellin' me that for a 2D genre that technically may only demand an hour of your time per sitting, you've had no stories about your people interrupting your game? No 1CC concentration-fuck-ups by women or anything?

When I 1CC'd Radiant Silvergun the alarm clock went off during the final boss bullet pattern thingy (after Xiga). So I paused the game, hit my alarm clock, unpaused, and died. Thus, my glorious 1LC became a measley 1CC.

Other than that most people know to leave me alone when shmupping. Except my roomate. He'll walk in, sit down, and just start talking to me while I'm shmupping. That shit drives me nuts. Haven't had a live-in girlfriend, so typically if I'm chillin' with a chic I'm not shmupping.
