Finally got all those Touhou games Installed

Recently I minor upgrade to my PC at home.

Reinstalled the OS with Win2000 & installed an used GeForce 3 from my friend.

After that, I could finally installed all the Japanese Dojin games I got on the harddrive. (Previously, the Win98SE won't allow me to install anything got Japanese charaters folder/file name...)

It the first time I got the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (東方紅魔郷) working on my PC.

My PC is installed with...

The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (東方紅魔郷)
Perfect Cherry Blossom (東方妖々夢)
Immaterial and Missing Power (東方萃夢想)
Imperishable Night (東方永夜抄)
Phantasmagoria of Flower View (東方花映塚)
Shoot the Bullet (東方文花帖)

If only Touhou were Mac compatible.
I'd have something else on my Powerbook to play on besides MAME, Parsec47 and Tumiki Fighters. ;_;

Lastly i have installed all those touhou shooters and they rock though i'm practicing in Perfect cherry blossom on normal to raise my skill :D Got stuck at 4th boss without using continues

These are not freeware shmups and are not up for download. For everything else there's Shoot The Core.

For the Touhou games there are demos (for everything except Shoot the Bullet I think), there should be links on STC.

I posted this elsewhere, but can someone help me find these games to buy? I am having a really hard time finding them anywhere....

keep your eyes on himeya soft. occasionally they have some copies of the "big three". however, they are currently out of stock.

also theres ebay if you're up for it. there is a particular seller who usually has some of Zun's games in stock. can't remember his name though, maybe someone else can help wth that. :oops:

I know palet has sold his stuff before (has a site here as well, currently also seem sold out), though I'm not sure he's the one you were thinking of.

It *is* technically possible to download the full versions; just be aware it isnt the most legal thing to do.

Is how I got the ones I have, admittedly.

I havent played them much though; too much of a Cave fanboy, lol....



And they work with Vista just fine, by the way.

one word of advice to anyone looking to buy through his site (as linked). just had a short look to see if he got more in yet (he did), he also sells quite a few hentai pc softs and they are mixed into the same area as the touhou shooters. so prolly NSFW.

for reference looks like Perfect Cherry Blossom and Imperishable Night will go for $18 plus shipping, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil goes for $15.

Yes, palet_th got the better offer. And there always seems to have more stocks at it own site.

Way to go SAM! My personal favrouate is Phantasmagoria of Flower View mainly because it's a much more hardcore knock off of the Twinkle Star Sprites games. Saying that I also love the other games (I own all the shumps SA have done on the PC) but I think PoFV is my favourate but I am a minoraty I know! :)
