Star Soldier has two action buttons (firing + blaster) so you need to map something to the "upper" area. It doesn't support mapping to the nub. And I don't miss it, my hands are big enough that if I only used the "lower" part of the PSP for controlling it'd feel horribly crowded. So the face buttons can work very nicely in tate.

Yes, your right hand's palm.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
Glad I have medium sized hands. When I got Capcom Classics Remixed I was overjoyed when I found I could map special/bomb to the nub for TATE. But if you say using the face buttons in TATE isn't so bad then maybe I'll finally spring for PSP Star Soldier.
Anyways, still haven't competently 1CC'ed EEE. As I have said before, Asamsar and Retinal Gear are just evil. Think I will take a break and go back to Gradius Portable.

Only $12.90.
Shame us Europeans can´t order it at this price.
I'm not aware of any restrictions which disqualify europeans from this deal. In fact I've already ordered two games which were on offer which have just been shipped and the invoice confirms I got them at reduced price.

If you check the link I gave you should notice the following message on the site:
This item is not available for shipping to
# European Union
# Iceland
# Liechtenstein
# Norway
Which means most Western Europeans cannot order this.
This is the same for every officially Sony licensed PSP or PS3 (luckily PS2 seems exempt from this rule) item at Play-Asia btw and I suspect this is one of the results of the court case that Sony had against Lik-Sang. It was not long after that incident that PA introduced this rule.
So I am guessing that your order didn´t involve a PSP or PS3 product? Because otherwise they´d not be enforcing their rules.

Ah yeh, sorry I didn't notice that. Indeed the games I ordered were japanese dreamcast games. That'll explain why the Japanese PSP games at my local import games shop are so expensive.
BUMP! Just ordered this, I can´t believe I have a PSP since three weeks and completely forgot this game existed. I never played the original for more than three minutes because I didn´t get it.
And the cover looks excellent. Has a strong 80ies airbrush scifi look about it, could as well be a great record cover.
And good to hear this game is challenging. I badly need a game that I can sink me teeth in again... See you soon at the highscore thread
Can anybody that is familiar with the JPN and US versions of this game tell me if there are any differences in the content? I've heard there's slow down in the Japanese release, but I've also heard conflicting information about exlusive songs.
One interview with the publishers (I think) stated that the US/EU versions have all the Japanese content, plus an exclusive extra track, but one Game Faqs user said the Japanese version had a track that was removed from the US version.
Is it possible to play EEE on the PS Vita or PS3/4? I've never seen it on the PS store, so I'm guessing the original PSP (or emulator) is the only way to play this masterpiece. Please tell me I"m wrong!

I don't think EEE is being sold on the PS Store.
You could hack your Vita and use the built-in PSP emulator, but that's the only way.
