Where can I play the original Thunder Force?

Post by jp »

I don't know, kinda weird that I'm infatuated with the series and I've never played the original entry in the series. Mind you, I know it sucks (especially if its a shittier version of the top down levels from TFII), but I'd still like to play it just to say I did. :p

So... yes. If there's some way for me to play this on Windows XP, I would love to know about it.

Best bet: Get a Sharp X-1 emulator and the TF1 rom. It was also released on other consoles, but will be much harder to find.

http://www.jcec.co.uk/x1emu.html for the emulator.

No idea for the rom...

Find an emulator (it was released for many an old japanese computer, according to HG101's article on the series) and find the rom. That's pretty much </thread> right there.

There's also this thread for some additional TF1 discussion.

EDIT: Damocles beat me to it.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Sorry I had to edit the post above, but

It doesn't matter what is legal in your country, there are no exceptions to this rule – although discussion of emulation is not a problem.
