I know there is proberbly another Gigawing 2 thread but I just wanted to say some thing a long the lines of "ZOMG THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!1!" and so on...

I just had it posted to me from Japan today thanks to the magic of Ebay. I was a tad worried though, normaly I would not trust the Internet with such tasks as there are many a con man out there but this seemed to work out OK in the end.

Anyway me and my brother were playing this 2 player for a bit and we had a lot of fun. I am actualy going to take this to my friends house tommorow night for some four player action which should be a laugh. One thing I noticed though is at the moment I reckon that Reflect Force is much better than Reflect Lazer and that the game seems much more like a complete package compaired to the orignal whcih is still a very good game.

Anyway off now to play some more, catch you laters! :D

Rob would be proud.

In terms of port bonus material, Giga Wing 2 ranks second behind Mars Matrix (as far as Takumi ports go). BTW, you can also unlock the 5 ships from the first game (if you haven't already).

I have fond memories of playing four player simultaneous Gigawing 2 at one of Malc's shmup-meets a few years back ;)

Malc only had 3 DC controllers so I ended up using his Sega-Bass fishing controller.. and it was still great fun esp later on in the game with mad Jap voiceovers from 4 people smart-bombing like idiots every 3 seconds!! SPARKKKKK BOMBAHHHHHH!!!

Is this games difficulty considered easy, moderate, or hard?

To survive, most would say easy (unless they write game reviews).

Yeah depends if you start collecting thoughs medals really, well that's what I've noticed. I also have Mars Matrix and Gigawing as well and I enjoy those games a lot. I have also been playing a lot of Castle Shikigami 2 as well since I've just recently brought that to. At the moment though I think I'll try to 1cc Gigawing 2 as I wish to get good at the game for when my friends come around! :D

I have a PAL Dreamcast but can play any region of games on it. However this normally causes a flashing bar across the top of the screen. Its not too noticeable but with this kind of game would it cause a problem?

Depends on how big of a "flashin bar" it is? I dunno I use an xploder CD which allows the running of imports on my DC and I get no flashing lines.
