Your most prized PCB!

Post by PsikyoPshumpPshooterP »

mine is Ketsui

I sold it once before and it took me almost a year to find another pcb in which price fluctuated but it was all worth it. Ketsui is going in my coffin on my funeral!!

I don't have any PCBs in my collection that I'm so attached to that I couldn't ever get rid of them, but if I did, I think that Raiden Fighters would be the last one to go.

The one I can not see ever parting with is Batsugun. That and the RF series.

I buy so few PCBs, so when I do I make sure it's a game I really, really like, thus they are all prized posessions.

I guess I would part with Guwange and OutZone last though, those games are very special. :)

I don't know about most prized, but I'll never get rid of Dodonpachi doj or shienryu.

Well I have a Neo Geo MVS if that counts? I guess my most treasured game for that would be either Viewpoint or Real Bout Fatal Fury Special. I would say Martimeele since it's hard to get a hold of but put simply I've played the other two much, much more.

Star Trigon, The Outfoxies and Hacha Mecha Fighter are all pretty much tied for number one.

I have no really mega expensive PCBs but I'd never sell Giga Wing 2 or Sexy Parodius, I love them too much.

Cannon Dancer. Not the best game in my collection, but after searching it for more than a year, I have a certain relation to it. I wouldn't want to part with Growl either, it represents my love for Taito very very well.

Ketsui. If you have this one, don't you dare part with it. :) Second place would probably be the Taito F3 system and its original PlayStation system sized cartridges. I'll also be holding onto my Raiden Fighters 2 cart/mobo.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Beat me to it. I've told this before (and never tire of it :D), but I actually have an original factory kit, sent strait to me from Mitchell. It's like having an autograph of someone famous or something personal like that. I'd have a hard time parting with it.

And I agree w/ you, Pa, monetary value isn't the deal. I'd have a hard time parting with my Thundercade kit and that cost me $25 shipped.

Probably Out Zone and D&D Tower of Doom for me :) There's others but those are my faves. Close runners up are Windjammers and Twinkle Star Sprites for the MVS!

Radiant Silvergun, partially because the process of getting a working kit was a little more stressful than I wanted it to be (it doesn't help matters much when your best friend fries the motherboard).

Battle Bakraid. It's the first PCB I bought so I'm a bit attached to it.
Feedback will set you free.

Most of my most favorite things didn't cost diddly. Two out of those three boards I mentioned were well under a hundred bucks.

Bubble Bobble.
One of the few boards I had in mind when I started buying PCBs, but it ended up taking me ages to actually own one. It didn't cost too much, but I'd never sell it.

how did you get ahold of it? i'm a huge strider fan and want this PCB badly...
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Ketsui is going in my coffin on my funeral!!
depending on how old you get, Ketsui may well have stopped working long before you reach the coffin. Also, working lo-res monitors may have ceased to exist. And who know whether there will even be electricity around anymore? Or funerals?
Better enjoy the party while it lasts.

sven666 knew since long ago that I was lookng for it, and was nice enough to hook me up with a japanese dealer when he stumbled upon a copy. You'll have to wait until it pops up I guess, which might take some time. It's not very cheap either. :?

So does that mean a possible nuclear war or electromagnetical "dirty" bomb will wipe the last remaining relics of low-res arcade hardware to kingdom come? Seems like something is big on the horizon within our lifetime -- what is it exactly? Nobody really knows -- could WWIII be on the horizon? After my personal visit and seeing the horrors at the Hiroshima War Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, Japan, such a nuclear attack will fucking wipe everything out in an instant, the survivors will be praying for death in the throes of nuclear winter.....
