Gulf Storm?

Has anybody ever played this Gulf Storm shooter? I think it is done by the same company who did R-Shark.. Any opinions would be helpful.

Isn't that by Tad or some off the wall co? I remember looking into their work a while back and nothing really looked that remarkable. Sometimes the collector side of me wants to buy stuff like this because it is off the beaten path, but then the gamer side of me reminds me that is not going to be DoDonpachi.

It's pretty crap. It's also really easy. Try it out in Mame and see what you think.

It's Dooyong, and like everything most of everything else Dooyong made, it sucked.

But hey at least Dooyong isn't Comad.

Yea, I did play it in Mame, and yes, it does suck. Of course, I have R-Shark and find that to be balls, too. Thanks for the opinions though, appreciate it.

if youve got a hankerin for some not-so-common shmups action UPL is the way to go..

USA.A.F mustang, Task force harrier, omega fighter and Strahl are all excellent games.

YES!!, I love UPL's shmups! I still wish that Omega Fighter had gotten a home port; best "Destroy a Huge Battleship" themed shmup ever, IMO!

omega fighter special is something "special"

I have Task Force Harrier, good game indeed. I actually wound up purchasing this Gulf Storm, because although crap, it is an oddity. Plus, the price was attractive.
