XII Stag
XII Stag
NEW THREAD HERE
Full defaults as usual, except for Rapid Side Attack which can be ON. Not all of us have joysticks or are willing to wiggle them into oblivion.
Millennium Crisis has a great page dedicated to XII Stag. All in japanese, of course, but the illustrations are fairly easy to understand.
Format:
Name - Score - Stage reached
Please specify in your post whether you're playing with RSA ON or OFF.

I don't normally post my scores to my own threads (I just edit them in), but I felt this one deserves it:
RSA OFF
Ghegs - 1,505,420 - Stage 6
Having finally acquired a Namco Arcade Stick it only felt right to give wiggle-mode a run. And it's definately a lot more fun this way. I even reached Stage 6 for the first time ever, though admittedly I just bombed my way through the Stage 5 boss. Stage 3 which is usually the bane of my runs was nowhere as difficult either. But I guess I lost a lot of points there, playing rather defensively.
EDIT: Heh, I got a slightly better score soon after - and I didn't even break into Stage 6 this time.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Got the XII Stag G-Net setup last week. It's invigorating and I've been trying a few hours during these times to break my old record.
This run is near top scoring level for me, and thankfully getting the 4th course for Stage 4 (need to defeat every part of the mothership in x12). Very tense Stage 5...damn rocketman sniper -or whatever we call them- got my last ship right before the boss.
oxtsu - 3,407,650 - Stage 5

score compo -off the chest-
RSA was not allowed for the official XIISTAG PS2 internet score comp from TriangleService/Taito. Just thought I'd mention that, since Ghegs makes it appear on equal footing here. The game is seriously neutered with RSA, and the devs backed this up as well.
In any case, best of luck and welcome to the new challengers, PlasmaBlood and RiverRaider!

!
Someone needs to snag the 1CC on this game.
Maybe it should be included in the list for this year's STG Tournament
It would be a sure fire way of getting some results.
I know Rando was going for the ALL on this a while back.
