Wiki article for Raiden Fighters...complete!

This one has many screenshots added, including animated GIFs. These help further describe the game to those unfamiliar with it. I even included a screenshot showing the tiny hitbox of the Slave.
There is also more information about the Gun Dogs development name, including a Gun Dogs logo and information gleaned from MAME World's MAWS site.

One can fix guerrilla back to guerilla (let's see how long that lasts befoe it's changed again, the article is back the way you intended it to be).Alluro wrote:Well, someone edited the spelling of "guerrilla". I originally had the spelling with one "r", which is an accepted alternate spelling. That kind of edit pisses me off. It's as stupid as someone correcting the spelling of "color" to "colour" and vice-versa.
Sorry I just had to put it back the way you originally had it, messing with an article like that isn't right, unless it's a known typo.

Thanks. The person who made that previous edit told me he was running an automated bot that corrects spelling on articles.
I'm planning to submit a review of this and RF2 to Malc. I'm going to create a lot of screenshots to go along with the review.Asherdude wrote: Have you submitted a review of it to Malc for the Xenocide Files?
I plan to put up my Raiden Fighters secrets online, but most likely under a ST for the games on these forums.

Check it out. As of v0.114, the sound in RF2 had been drastically improved. It's almost perfect thanks to a redump of the bad sound ROM. You'll have to download the RF2 roms again, clear the NVRAM file for the game, and run the ROM transfer sequence again to get the improved sound.

Try changing some of the settings for triple buffering and vertical sync. These options were enabled by default when I upgraded my MAME, and it did cause RF2 to sputter badly. I disabled both those settings and now RF2 runs at full speed 100% of the time on my Centrino MT 2.0 GHz laptop.Twiddle wrote:Raiden Fighters 2 works great...and it fucking hiccups on an A64X2 4200+ with MAME .116.
