I don't know if that help but when i turn on the game,i have just one led light on,this is the one near to the SH3 component,"the D6 Led"
The others near the jamma port don't light.
The D6 LED should light up at power on and then shut off. I suspect
it is related to the upload of the bit file to the FPGA. What position
is your S1 switch in ? I think S1 controls the access to the JTAG port.

Sorry but what is it,FPGA and JTAG?
S1 switch is in normal position,up when you have the jamma port in front of you.

what exact does happen when Checking EEProm appears on screen?
On all my cabs the geometry of the pic changes when this appears..
For example power up--->checking something, checking something...and in the moment when checking EEProm appear the geometry changes on the screen (and get's a bit worse on the left edge)...( with all my SH3 PCB's and all my cab's :? )
maybe i'm crazy but i think it's worser with Galuda2, Futari....than with Ibara, PS...

FPGA is a Field Programmable Gate Array it is used to create
a dedicated processor to handle the graphics on the SH-3. JTAG
is a method of testing circuits mounted on a PCB but it may also
be used to upload software.

So S1 is in the ON position ?

The SH-3 PCB's recognizes that not all monitors are equal and therefore
you can adjust some sync parameters. If you go into the grid/cross hatch
menu after entering setup you can adjust the grid as well as your own
monitor to perfection.

When your monitor has been adjusted to perfection using your
monitor controls you can pop in your next SH-3 PCB and now all you have
to adjust is the placement of the cross hatch in the setup menu.

When the PCB starts up it verifies anb loads the EEPROM. The sync
parameters you set on the cross hatch screen are stored in EEPROM
and when they are loaded your screen adjusts itself. This is the geometry
change that you see.

Ok thank,i didn't know that. All checking eeprom is OK and the S1 is in ON position.I have already try in the past to slide the switches with no succes.

I do wonder if it will hold if you get the #1 original spot.
Update: Good news, you were right, Dave K.! I just got a high score of 51 million in Original mode today, which put me in first place on my board's Original mode ranking. My board's previous all-time high score was 41 million. I powered down, then turned it on again, and my score is still saved in the all-time ranking!! :D

Now, the questions are, will it only save the top spot? Or will my subsequent second, and third, etc spots also be saved now that I have the #1 spot? Or, if I beat my score with a higher one, will it bump down my saved high score to second place, or replace it (in maniac mode you get a full replacement in the Ultra mode #1 slot)?

EDIT: just got a score of 31 mil to place #5 on my chart, but it didn't save after power down. I'm pretty sure now I'll have to keep beating my top score to have the score be saved.

Good news indeed. I guess you don't remember what the previous #1 highscore was to verify if it dropped to #2?

No, actually the previous high did drop to #2. So I guess that answers my "replacement" question. Looks like I'll have to get 52+mil scores to fill up my high score list now.
