Name this SHMUP
Hi,
I've been trying to recall the name of a shmup I played once on a cocktail machine in a bowling alley in 1990 or so. Should be easy right? Never saw it again, but would like to give it another go.
It played like Xevious, with a standard button for the zapper and a small button on top of the joystick for bombs that hit ground targets.
But, unlike Xevious, the game scrolled in all four directions, and you could turn your ship in all four directions as well. . I also recall the graphics being a little more sophisticated. Definately a sci-fi/space setting though.
Any ideas?

The play field was a mixture of sci-fi "base" terrain and also perhaps some ground/water. Don't recall the enemies that well, but fairly typical flying ships (think Raiden).
Definately had both the zapper/vulcan and bombs. My 10-year-old self was blown away at the time.
Not Blast Off or Time Pilot. Thunder Force 2 looks close. I'll give that one a try.
Gameplay was almost exactly like Vanguard II, which I just tried. But the control was more smooth and the graphics and little better.

Time Pilot 84 does match his description of the graphics. I don't remember it having bombs in its arsenal, but I suppose that the missiles could be mistaken for bombs.
Big question to other board members: Did any of Time Pilot 84 cabinets have a button on the joystick? Trying to find pin-out & configuration info on old school arcade units is down right hard.
