Can you modify a Dual Shock 1 for an arcade stick?

Post by Mikey »

I've opened an SCPH-1200 Dual Shock stick and the ribbon socket where the button contact 'paper' joins the PCB is the perfect size for solid core wire. With the paper removed from the socket, a stripped wire fits tight and stays put. It seems perfect for making an arcade stick interface. Is it, please tell?

Thanks.

Edit: If anybody has a link to a site with the pin order on that socket it would save me from tracing the lines around the paper.
