Upon looking at the ideal specs to running this power hungry PC demo of Shikigami No Shiro - Episode 3, my PC exceeds the minimum requirements (to be on the safe side, whew!). ^_~
I was stoked that one can play this SNS-3 demo in true "tate" mode (beside the usual "yoko" mode) and looks quite stunning on a regular SVGA CRT-based monitor setup presented in 31 kHz horizontal sync rate -- looks like how a Naomi or a Type X game should look running at 640 x 480 res @ 60 frames-per-second framerate...isn't this the "ideal" way a professional developed PC shmup should run? (I think you already know the answer to that question...) ^_~
Tis too bad that it's only just a two stage demo sampler -- whets the appetite for some more SNS-3 shmup action...
One can, indeed, use the USB powered Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 joystick (for use with PS3 & PC formats) or even with the Sega High Grade Virtua Stick on a XP OS endowed PC setup and use it with this cool SNS-3 shmup demo for some authentic world-class Japanese arcade joystick action! ^_~
How much does the retail Japanese PC version of SNS-3 sell for these days?

I do recall that the Shikigami No Shiro series on the original arcade hardware formats has changed over the years:
Shikigami No Shiro -- Taito G-Card cartridge for the Taito G-Net mobo
Shikigami No Shiro II -- Naomi GD-Rom disc with security chip dongle key for use on Sega's Naomi GD-Rom disc setup mobo
Shikigami No Shiro - Episode III -- HDD kit with USB dongle key for use with the Taito Type X & X+ PC Tower mobo setup

all three SNS games on the PC are playable in tate mode
any controller that is recognized under 'Game Controllers' in the windows control panel can be used to play any pc game that supports a joystick. Hell, i'd imagine you could play SNS with a racing wheel or DDR pad if you wanted. Games don't have to support things like the Hori Real Arcade Pro or the Sega High Grade Virtua Stick - all they need to support is a joystick.
