Well, since Lost uses a lot of philosophies and the writers have mentioned using a lot of Jeremy Bentham's philosophies amongst others, and if you've seen a screenshot of an extreme close-up of newspaper clipping that Jack is holding in his hand before he goes in the funeral parlor circulating around the 'net, you can barely see who died. "J" and "Bentham" are barely visible in the screenshot. It doesn't really make sense, but with the way the show's going... Anything's possible.

Few theories: It's either Juliet, Jacob, or Jeremy Bentham. Ben's also a solid possibility.

Edit: Who the fuck knows, really? I love this show.

Also, I'm curious why they haven't really mentioned the numbers since Season 2? They haven't even mentioned once at all during Season 3, so I'm curious about that.

Also, isn't Mikhail a badass? That scene with him shooting at Desmond? Holy shit. Awesome.

That's a season finale, 24.

I take it you weren't too impressed w/ 24's? I think the whole seasons was a bit regurgitated. They need to do something different. No "terrorists" next season. It should be tactical. Maybe go against Chinese spies or something... make Jack the aggressor instead of defensive. I don't think there's any "terrorist plot" element that hasn't been done.

Yeah, that was a disaster. Too much focus on office relationships that aren't remotely believable or interesting. Definitely rehashed feeling to the story/formula. Jack in CTU's lame ass custody, Jack kicks some dude in the face and runs away. Later the guy who got his teeth knocked out apologizes to Jack because he was right in doing it. The jumping off the platform 2 seconds before it gets blown to bits and Chloe is pregnant! (aw) ending put it over the edge.

Back on Lost:

Some interesting theories on who was in the coffin. African American neighborhood, African American funeral director, as well as some general tension between the character. Michael? Apparently the actor was asked to come back and be in the episode but turned it down.

So when Jack says to the staff leader at the hospital something like "Let's go upstairs and see whether I'm more drunk than my dad", he was just in a drug-induced stupor. I guess that makes more sense than that his dad didn't really die. Yet another possibility is that the dad's body will be/has been resurrected on the island. It was, after all, on board the plane.

It is really strange that Kate isn't in prison. I'll sleep on that one.

How far in the future, I wonder. It is funny how Jack returns (immediately?) to being the mainland creepy drunk. Kate barely agrees to see him. Was he stalking her too? He needed that (mostly) dry island so bad.

Could be (and most likely will be) anything. Maybe the government found the island and agreed to wipe the slate clean for everyone if they agreed to e quiet. Maybe she got a new identiy. Who knows. All I know is that it's a long fucking time until January.
