I don't think Ibara, Arrange and Black Label should count as one game. Maybe Arrange and BL can be lumped together (I'm not sure since I haven't played BL), but at least Ibara and Ibara Arrange have different enough core features to count as seperate games, I think.

Quick question: Is Life Force Salamander (AC/ SAT/ PS1), grouped with Salamander (AC)? Thx...

Historically no, but I'm willing to reconsider (the only major difference between the two is the power-up system.)

Actually you were one of the ones I needed to PM as I wasn't entirely sure if you were voting for Lifeforce or Salamander there.

Fair enough. I'm not at all familiar with Cave's more recent titles and variations thereof.

Uh yeah, my vote was for Ibara arcade. The other versions are trash.

Same for Steel Empire and Steel Empire GBA:

There's enough stuff to call it an adjusted conversion, rather than a straight port.

Ah, okay... I'd be happy with that.

Just to clarify if it wasn't already: I was voting for Lifeforce (AC: JPN), ported to the "Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus" (SAT), with that 'Gradius' style power-up system and the more 'bio' graphics theme... And definitely *not* Lifeforce (AC: US) nor Salamander (AC); which I guess would still be grouped together because they lack that "power-up" system... Phew!

*slaps Konami with Salamanders*

So I guess we've all seen the new results huh?

Sad that Guwange fell off, but DDP is still number one for what...5 straight years now?

Where the hell did Batrider come from?

Yes, it's getting ridiulous, I'll start a campaign against Dodonpachi next year.

Oh, and welcome back myself, I've been out the forum for like 7 months now, even missed the annual top 25 shmups voting for the first time in my life! Because of this, Compile shmups obviously lost positions and Hype isn't in the full list anymore :D

Also, your yearly vote for Apidya has been missed.

Welcome back. We already feared you got lost or something.
