I had that problem with my Slimline PS2 when they first came out. The first few times I used it, it made those noises, but it works perfectly now with no problems/noises at all. I have no idea what caused it though.shinsage wrote:This happens to me as well, except I have a launch fatty PS2.Thunder Force wrote:Started using the newly released US version of Raiden III on a recent model slimline PS2, and the disc is making a horrible loud vibrating/whirring/buzzing sound for several seconds while spinning during loading screens (it's back to normal during gameplay itself though) - anyone else having this occur?

Well just beat it on a credit, go me.
Still love it.
The designs look so good in the gallery, I guess the transition to 3D didn't work out...I can definitely imagine them being hyper-detailed if they were 2D.
Also, anyone else notice the MG7-02 in the ship gallery? An homage to those stonehead bosses in the final levels of Gunbird?
