I'd say DC if only for the VGA. Otherwise, they should be about the same.

Choose Dreamcast, because it´s Sega and not Sony. Also, it´s a NAOMI game, so Dreamcast is certainly the more authentic version (whether you can tell during the game I can´t say).

There is definately more slowdown in the ps2 version as opposed to the dc.
If anything, the xbox version is almost identical to the dc one.

PS2 because the controller for the DC makes my finger tendons hurt.

Gamecube? I like this version.

Honestly I would just go with the USA version if you are in the United States. It is dirt cheap, easy to locate.

If anal about cinimatic translations and box art well that is an issue of another kind. Game play is spot on and XS does right with retain the tate option for those who play that way (they are fail in Mobil Light Force 2/Skikigami no Shiro 1 with remove of tate option  )

XBox > GC > DC > PS2

Haven't and don't plan to play the PC version.

If that's somehow a determining factor in purchasing said game, then you're in the wrong department. As I recall the Xbox game never got a port outside Japan so story=/=english. Personally, apart from slow-down and accuracy issues aside grab the PS2 game. I'd suggest getting the DC version, but it's both significantly harder to come by than the other versions and definitely the priciest.

I have the GC, PS2 and DC revs, and I'd go with the PS2 version. To me, it seems to be running in higher res than the DC version...it just looks more crisp (talking about a normal TV setup, mind you). The GC version? Eh...not so sharp...same game, though...and it is a good game. I never imported any Xbox games, so I missed out on the four or five (I can't remember if two or three versions of the original SNS came out for the Xbox) shooters released over in Japan (which I have versions of for other systems anyway).
