Ikaruga: DC or GC?

Post by durias »

I'm getting ready to go on a shmup buying spree and I wanna make sure I get the "better" version of games that are available on multiple consoles.

Try the search function. I'm sure there are tons of threads addressing this issue.

Note: DC is closer to arcade perfect.

If you've got a either JAP DC or a boot disc or whatever, buy the JAP DC. Other than being valuable, as for me it's the best version of the two.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

Undesired, unwanted them...
What makes them go?

Very cool. Thanks! I'm thinking about offering my GC version for a DC version.

I think one of the major things to consider here may be controller choices? The Dreamcast may have better choice with sticks? The agetec stick - which is also easy to enhance, or PS2 sticks with converters. Converters open up all PS2 controller options really. I really don't know much about GCN sticks or controller converters. For digital pad play however the GCN is offer the Hori pad - nice pad but the d pad is seem stiff for my liking.

You really need to start using the search function instead of creating one topic after the other. All questions you ask have been answered before. Many times.
