Gamecube Hori controller

Post by CRIMExTHINK »

Hi! Does anyone know where I can buy these controllers? They are all sold out on play-asia.com and they don't seem like they'll restock anytime soon. I've checked eBay and craigslist but to no avail. I bought Ikaruga a few weeks ago and the d-pad on the official GC controllers is just too damn small. Thanks in advance!

If you have a PS2 pad, you may be better off getting a Cube Joybox or similar adaptor. Even better if you already have a PS2-compatible joystick.

I had one of the Hori GameCube pads for a while and to be honest I wasn't all that impressed with it. The D-pad hurts my thumb and the face button layout still sucks.

I didn't really mean to derail since I don't know where to buy them now, but just wanted to throw my opinion in that they're not all they're cracked up to be.

I got mine from eStarland, but I'm not sure they still have any. I really like it, but I only use it for Ikaruga and Mega Man.

Yes, Hori produced two different colored schemed "Fighting Stick Gamecube" joysticks: 1st one was the limited edition Soul Calibur II GCN joystick & the 2nd, purple colored version. It was designed primarily for those Gamecube games that used "digital input" as the basis to play the game. ^_~
