is the Xbox 360 pad easy to mod into an arcade stick?

I´m asking because the Xbox1 pad was a PITA due to its analog buttons, but afaik they dropped those for the 360 pad. As the 360 pads are still rather expensive, I don´t want to sacrifice one just for trying, but if someone here can confirm it works fine, I´ll do it.

Dunno if it is easy, but it has been done. Do a search on for "360 controller hack".

So you know, I have only seen the hacked diagram for the USB version.
