I really like jp's semi-exhaustive Sega Saturn shmup list found here:
http://www.angelfire.com/al2/jp/
Do you know of any similar lists for Playstation 2?

I don't see why we couldn't start one. I'm pretty sure if one were to combine the collections of all the posters on the forums you would have an exhaustive list.
Just off the top of my head-
Espgaluda
Do Don Pachi - Dai Ou Jou
Ibara
Mushihimesama
Gradius V
Silpheed
The psikyo collections.
Raiden 3
The Castle Shikigami games
The Psyvariar games
tons more I imagine.
edit: R-Type Final. There is also this http://shmups.classicgaming.gamespy.com ... s/ps2.html but I don't think it's up to date.

Thanks for this lead. I wonder what needs to be added to the list found at the above link to make it up to date. Do you think it's accurate that there are about half as many PS2 shmups (approx. 25 according to the link) when compared to Sega Saturn (55, depending on who you ask)?EatenByGrues wrote:There is also this http://shmups.classicgaming.gamespy.com ... s/ps2.html but I don't think it's up to date.
