I'm more of a Fatal Fury fan myself, mainly because I didn't play any of the KOF's back inthe day and I dont own any KOF's.

Cool I rarely come across someone who mentions Fatal Fury.
FF Real Bout Special is the only one I haven't played, looks good though.

Garou MOTW is a legend for sure!

Oh, and you need to play KOF

I love KOF! Terry is my favorite.

I always use (where available) Terry, Kyo, Mai, and Whip (though Whip and Mai get a little too cheap so in Vs. people matches i use other charachters.)

I've played the FFRB series on emu's, and KOF but I just cant get into KOF (I've only triedd 94-95)

Garou MOTW I haven't played, I was out bid onthe DC Port afew months back, someone got It for £30+ :x

On FF3 I have to go probably for Joe or Andy

I remember Fatal Fury inthe arcades and Terry getting out of that taxi inthe intro :P

I used to want a Saturn for Virtua Fighters and the other beat em ups,
I still dont know why I didn't buy the Sega Saturn, I loved the MD so I should have went straight to the Saturn, but at the time my brother came back to live with my parents, and brought his playstation over, i will never forgive Sony

Damn shame about the bid, the game is real good. You should try the later KOF (96, 97 etc), especially KOF '98, it's more fun with alot more moves and alot easier to get into, if KOF style games is your kind of thing.

I recommend 98 on the DC, it can go for good cheap prices too.

Yeah, FF had some good intro's, but seriously the intro on KOF 98 on the DC takes the piss
It's really long and a good quality anime intro too.

I've always been a casual KOF fan. I bought the '02 and '03 pack for PS2 recently and I'm really liking '03.

On the Garou note: It looks like Playmore will be bringing it to the PS2 as well. Seems there's also going to be a special edition that comes with the Neo Geo joystick for the PS2 that came out recently.

Have anyone seen the anime movie(s) of Fatal Fury? always wanted to see those.

Nei First- I'm also a dreaded Vulcher bidder

I either get out bid or haven't got enough money on me at the time

I found Castlevania Chronicles(twice) 1st time £8.99 2nd £19.99) and Raiden Project (£19.99)and guess what not enough money yet again :?

Short by £3

I own 98 and 99 on the DC, and have played 01, 02, and 03 more briefly...a nice fighting game series on the whole. '98 is my personal favorite, it more or less dispenses with the plot and says "Okay, here's a huge cast, relatively well balanced, with lots of moves apiece, and a couple of universal techniques that aren't too hard to use, but take practice to master. Have fun." It looks awful, but gameplay-wise it's great.

I tend to play as the "weirdos' and "goofballs," but then again I do that on most any fighter: I'm not good enough to mess with an experienced player, so I just pick the most embarassing character and make them feel ashamed just for having to fight me.

Yeah I heard something about Garou coming on the PS2, personally I'd rather a sequel.

'98 is the best KOF, though the stages in 99 evolution are amazing (Thinks of the plane taking off in the background).

I haven't played much of VF4 Evo, just can't get into it.

Choi is annoying, but nothing King can't handle :D

Heh, Choi annoys everyone. My favorite "embarassment" character has to be Chin though...no better way to demoralize a guy than by spitting sake on him, stumbling all over him, and falling on top of him (not to mention a good smack or two with a gourd on a string). Even if I lose I still feel satisfied.

Of course, my most frequent KoF rival likes to annoy me in kind by picking Athena and making me listen to that horrible voice of hers...aagh!

The few times I try to play "seriously" she's one of the chars I like to use...Vanessa's another one.

Virtua fighter 4 evo is like a dream to play if you put the time in to follow the fighting tutorial. The shaolin monk is a lot of fun to use with the combos that link into diferent stances.

I wish all fighting games had a tutorial as good as the vf4evo tutorial. Would make them so much more accessable...

Vanessa huh, never really played with her might have to give her a try.
Oh, and I love Athena :D
I've recently been playing with Kyo, Terry and Shingo as my team, they kick ass! Just like King 8)

I'll probably give more attention to VF4 Evo at some point, as 3D fighters go right now, my eyes are on Tekken 5 and Soul calibur III :P

Gee, KOF. I like the games but haven't and can't be bothered to actually spend effort to learn the games unlike Street Fighter.

Really have no desire to learn VF, esp. with how many defensive options you have for any attack.

I have KoF 96, 97, 98 and 99 for the PSX. I also played a hell lot of 94 and 95 on NeoGeo when they were out (I had a friend who had a neogeo CD and KoF 95).

After 99, I nearly haven't played them (Never played 02 nor 03 at all).

My fav used to be 97, but lately I've been enjoying a lot of 96 - In a gaming session with friends, we were playing Winning Eleven 7 on a mate's PS2, and we were chatting about the "good old times" and someone said how he was good on KoF 96. I mentioned I had it, and then everyone went to play that.

Since that day (About 4 weeks ago), I've been playing it with friend from time to time.

In that version, I like to play with Ryo, Andy and King (In that order). Sometimes I throw Mature in the middle, just to add some variation.
95 team - Eiji, Billy Kane, Andy
97 team - Ryo, Andy, King (Just like 96 :D)
98 team - Heidern, Andy, King
99 team - Ryo, Andy, King, Athena. (Sometimes change Ryo to Maxima)

What's funny, the one I seem to enjoy the least is 98. I always felt it to be a little too unbalanced.

I'm a huge KOF fan; I own every one of them except for 94 and 98.

96 used to be my fave for awhile, but then 03 on the PS2 came along...that game is amazing, I love it. It's my favorite KOF yet (perhaps even moreso than SF3: Third Strike).

Everyone should buy the KOF 00/01 and 02/03 collections on PS2 in the Americas.

I herd that KOF '94 rebout sucks, even with online. By some people, the game look down-right ugly.
