Bug on the Wii's Virtual Console version of Gradius?

Bug on the Wii's Virtual Console version of Gradius?

Curious.

Did the original version of Gradius on the NES have a bug that slowed it down on level five? Specifically, when those brains-with-arms things come at you, it slows down. It did on the Virtual Console just now.

Just curious.

...not that I'm complaining. I mean, this shmup rookie needs all the help he can get. :lol:

I doubt it's a bug. I don't remember if the NES version is supposed to do it, but level 5 even slows down a bit in the arcade version. From what I saw in a video, that level slows that even more than the arcade for the PC Engine version.

The stage with the meatballs w/ arms has major slowdown and flicker in the NES cartridge.

I am only play PSP Gradius and NES - PSP has minimum slowdown compare to NES.
