Cave SH 3 boards - tight fit in supergun.

Utterly noobish question, but I've only just started to buy arcade gear as I needed extra shooting fixes. Anway, the harness with my Sigma AV 3000 fits the second gen Cave boards like Espgaluda just about OK - it's a squeeze, but they fit in. The SH 3 boards, however, barely fit - I only just managed to squeeze Espgaluda II in amid creaking sounds and sweat pouring out of me in fear of snapping it. Trying to get it out was a massive trial too. Now, am I just being overly cautious and should push them in with abandon? Thanks for your helop chaps.

Well, your boards shouldn't be going into your supergun, they should fit into a harness... one you can buy/make cheaply. What kind of gun do you have? A jamma connection is a jamma connection though. Perhaps yours isn't allowing some slack that it should.

It is going into the harness : it's just extremely tight. It's a Sigma AV 3000.

Yeah it happens sometimes. You can sand the sides of the board edge connector.

For me, it was my cab that was giving me a huge problem with EspGaluda II. The PCB JAMMA connector is extremely tight. So what I did was use a knife to push the pins inside the [blue] connector up so maybe they won't be as tight.

Yeah, I was sweating like a pig when I attempted to insert the PCB. I understand how you feel, its a (was $716 for me) game!

I didn't really have that much trouble when I inserted Ibara. It could be PCB specific.

Pretty easy to fix the harness to fit better. usually it's the security pin that is too thick but if it's the connector itself all you have to is file/drill down the inside ends a tiny bit.
