they just done another street fighter 2 one. i emailed them before xmas about a batrider dvd and i got a courteous reply saying they'd look at it. but i think i heard their next one was gonna be for un squadron.....(???) god knows why. i hope that's not true, and a pink sweets one is on it's way, but inh are a bit of a mixed bag (karnov's revenge).

UN Squadron? I hope you are kidding. Why have a dvd for such an easy game? There are already tons of replays on the net where people finish the game on the hardest settings blindfolded with one hand tied behind their back.

Recently new world records have been set for donpachi and shikigami no shiro. There are no dvds publicly available for either game. I would be willing to bet that either one of those dvds would outsell a UN Squadron dvd by at least a factor of 10 to 1.

Metal Slug 6 has many nice scoring tricks and a dvd would be interesting to watch as well.

Speaking of INH, has anyone heard anything about the two omake dvds? (one for battle garegga, one for raiden fighters) Cocoebiz was supposed to get some in to sell, but I never heard back from them.

Well, MCS has released DVD sets for Shiki 2 and 3, so I assume they'd be the ones to pursue a Shiki 1 DVD set.

Personally, I'd love to see an Under Defeat replay DVD.

a ten disc Gradius 5 set anyone ? 8)

anyways, its no secret that Batrider could really use a good superplay DVD.
id love to see proper releases for Dimahoo, Gigawing trilogy, RSG and the strikers 1945 trilogy..

border down and under defeat arent bad choices either :)

I agree here.

Except for Gigawing Generations, superplay videos from Japan already exist for all of the above games.

how are the remixed tracks that comes with the "secret lover" mushihimesama DVD?

looking at the tracklisting, it looks the the rest of the tracks on it are exactly the same as the normal soundtrack (original arcade music) , is this true?

Well, I'm just saying that if you want to buy it, you buy it for the videos. The new tracks are nothing special, in my opinion.

i got the INH battle garegga dvd recently from play-asia and it came with 2 dvd's one says on it "omake disk" is this standard? and/or is it what you are refering to? or something else? i haven't watched it yet (not started playing the game yet).

Tracks 1-13 on the CD are the same as the original OST. The other tracks include some decent remixes and the nasal Aozora song (both standard and karaoke version).

The booklet that comes with the set is really nice. It's the size of a magazine. The whole set is pretty damn big.. roughly the size of a manga collection artbook.

i'm quite sure a futari will happen someday, though hopefully by INH cause i was rather disappointed with the quality of the ESPgaluda II dvd-set by Cave.

having a browse at their site, it looks like more beat-em-up dvds are more likely. which does make sense really.

You have the second edition then. The omake disk didn't come with the first edition. That is what I am referring to, thanks for the information.

I saw a bundle of fan made replays on YHJ a while ago that I was going to bid on and then changed my mind at the last minute. There were at least 6/7 in the auction, I don't know if all of them were Namaki. Progear and Ketsui were the only Cave ones iirc, the rest were Psikyo etc.

On another note, is the Espgaluda II superplay now "rare"? I've seen these two that make me wonder :?

Ebay

Thankfully I've already got one and I paid a far more reasonable price from Play-Asia.

£75 is just ridiculous, its not any more rare than the early INH DVDs, its just the Cave craze showing its face again.. besides its still available at P-A isnt it?

It's been showing as out of print/out of stock for a short while. I'm not sure it's even worth the $60 they were selling it for, the INH ones are much nicer imo.

For me, the nicest thing about the Espgaluda II set is the book. It's small, but it's very nicely designed, layed out and printed - and full of lovely artwork. I don't tend to watch the DVD very much to be honest, but the book regularly gets a flip through.

i know that seller, he's a nice guy but he is rather expensive. his prices are no where near an indication for rarity or actual price. if he sells stuff for the prices he's asking he is just financing his stay in japan / his private gaming collection.

don't think the dvd will get really expensive anytime soon, not unless a port were to be announced (but let's not get into a futile discussion about whether or not a port is still coming).

same here. though lately i've been watching it again to improve my approach to the game (which helps me quite a bit). this dvd set is acutally responsible for me getting into pcd-gaming. after seeing it i totally wanted to play the game. :)

though nothing really new, today i received the radilgy: the illegal function dvd/cd/book appreciate set by INH . haven't gotten around to watching it / listening to it yet but did browse the book and that is also high quality stuff with lots of cool pictures (including all the loading screens!). think the audio cd may hold the alternate arrangements of the ost that were used in manpuku mode in radilgy generic (
