Especially now that Cave also contains Raizing...

But anyway, besides that, if I had to use only one word to capture what's so great about Cave shooters I'd go with "flow".

Other companies have their own strong points and all, but none has come up with a more naturally flowing formula. Even the 4-5 second pauses between stages seem perfectly timed. Don't you think?

Cave gets my vote because of Raizing alone. I've been enjoying G.Rev's games a lot lately though.

Man, the worst thing about the Cave fanboyism is the willingness to see their superiority in any(no)thing. See also the other thread where a guy imagines extra skills needed in just Cave games.

Let's face it, the micro hitbox + danmaku is the freshest and most copied idea to hit the genre since power-ups. They've never sold out and gone 3D either. For this, they rock.
