I don't know about the exact differences between normal and special round, but I do remember a video of MMM where he reaches Stage 4 of the special loop, including a few avoidable deaths with bombs in stock.
That was actually why I said its no big step to doom now :)

The only way -- memorize the patterns. It's not too hard once you get it down, but it's really easy to get stuck in a corner on the first half. I always have to bomb on the last Nightmare as well.

Ok, maybe I'll give this URA loop a shot. Got there again today, with a new URA loop high of 314 million. Not too bad. Ended on the 4th boss.

How often do you make it to the URA loop? As someone w/ really bad concentration, doing 5 stages of anything perfectly is just not in the books for me at this point, and probably never again.

Uhh, that was the 3rd time. Not very often, but it should only get easier.

CFO - 118,641,293 - 1-ALL - Tiger Schwert

Finally (Barely  ) got it after a much too long hiatus of 3s and mvc2. Stage 5 was somewhat messy.

Absolutely yes... :)

I'm playing from about 20 days, so i have just started my adventure with this awesome cave title. I really can't define my objective now, i can only say that i'm going to play ketsui for a very long time ( i hope ).

Italian ketsui scene is burning at the moment...

LUN ist in the first place, but the great RF2 and BR1 are playing it with me so we're involved to do the best that we can... Nice!

What I don't believe is these scores being accomplished on a supergun setup, and we know MMM uses a 14" monitor and joypad!

What's wrong with a supergun? I've gotten all my PCB scores on a supergun setup, as have lots of other folks here.

Same for me except for Seimitsu instead of Sanwa. I'm happy about that, but an Egret II is IMO on another planet :)

Nothing wrong with Superguns, only that they may imply different display and controls (usualy not as optimal as a cab) making these games even more difficult to play in some cases. Just amazing thats all.

Zakk - 153,145,879 - 1-ALL - Panzer Jager

Ugggggly. I died in the second stage. That's embarassing.

First time I ever made it to the 5th boss on one credit. I guess all that previous credit feeding helped me at least a little bit.

Kinda annoyed I missed taking over that spot above me, but I'll get around to that ;)

Mine is as cabbish as it gets. My TV even tilts back when it's TATE'ed due to the rounded sides.
