Who or what is the most powerful shmup machine/person?
Reading about giant robots, I came across Ideon and reading some info on it, it is written that Ideon is possibly the most powerful mecha in anime, or so ppl say since I have not seen an episode or seen any of the 2 movies.
That got me thinking about shmups (I've been thinking about this genre more and more ever since I discovered this site) and I wondered which shmup is the most powerful one. I would answer but since I'm not a giant shmup fan (some day I might), I can't say so probably someone here who has played many a shmup can probably be more accurate than I.

Under Defeat's last boss is kinda overkill for a WWII era tank.
This thing is really subjective though. OMG WHATS STRONGER HIBACHI (DDPDOJ) OR BLASTER CANNON (GradiusV) LOL
I think the stage 6 boss from Giga Wing would be a good candidate though.

The most powerful weapon?
It's a tie between the SHOOP DA WHOOP LAZOR and Dodonpachi's ALL SCREEN DEATH CANNON.

The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

Bosses... well there are lots of huge ships who want to be destroyed in parts (Mars Matrix Stage 4, Soukyuugurentai Stage 5), but because they don't fit completely on the screen, I wouldn't count them.
The completely powered up form of the blue Mars Matrix-ship is impressive in my opinion. The Ketsui- and Progear-ships look very powerful as well in my opinion.

The most powerful boss is [last boss] from [game]. Comparing one game universe with another is a stupid.

Both Exy ships from DOJ have ludicrous firepower. Type B is way more insane than any of the Batsugun ships.ForteMP3 wrote:Strongest hero in a shmup? Good question. I'd say the Type-A pilot from Batsugun. LOOK AT ALL THAT CRAP HE SHOOTS;.

I need to scour the internets now to see what that boss looks like.
