New to Shmups

This is my first post so, hey.

Ive been looking at the hi score threads looking for games to have a bash at and I have only 1 question...

... Is there a limit to the age of the posts in the hi scores section? Like some sort of unwritten rule not to revive older threads. I dont want to upset anyone if I find, say for example, a six month old Mars Matrix thread and post a score.

No, unlike some boards, we don't frown upon thread necromancy. And of course, reviving older score threads with new blood is only a good thing. Basically, if a score thread already exists for a game, use that.

Necromancy is your friend. Far from not approving of it, we actively support it. If you choose not to revive a long dead thread and instead opt to make a new one, there is about a 50% chance that the first response to your thread will be a link to the dead thread.

I use it on all forums. I did notice another user has taken the name neozeed and never posted a single thing

I think i'll be bashin the old DreamCast tonight (see if i can beat the lowest scores on some leagues

)

Well just for the record, some of my scores on the Hi Scores Section are older than many of the Members here

. I guess that might be the case with Mulletgeezer too...?
As long as the scores were written down exactly, they should stand.

I'm still doin a bit of lurkin at the moment, just getting my bearings and all that. Im workin my way through the review sections just now. Great stuff.

Ive got hold of a few more DC shooters i'll be havin a bash at aswel. Preparin some scores.
