Hi, i have some knowledge of PCB's as i once owned a Jamma cab, but I never bought any expensive pcb's really, just run of the mill arcade games such as double dragon....
At the moment i have a 50" plasma, and i have dreamcast, wii, and xbox 360 hooked up and i was going to buy a ps3, but i'm thinking i'd sooner get back into arcade gaming so i want to buy a supergun for my telly.
I understand you can buy them with volume controls? Just i'm scared of damaging my telly as it was a lot of money. I just would like information on best to buy (I'm in UK but no probs with importing if needs be) and was also wondering can you easily change between joypad/joystick on supergun or are they permantely fixed?
I'm not in the market to buy 10 PCB's just like that, but i've always wanted for a long time to play Ketsui and also shikigami no shiro 3, are these pcb's Jamma? as i understand that is the loom my supergun will have? Can you buy converters to play non Jamma PCB's.
Can you have them run through a component cable? just i'd like the image to fill my screen rather than have borders if that can be helped. Please post all help, i'll continue to read other threads, but i figured it wouldn't do no harm to ask.
Thank you ^ ^

Well, you might as well buy a new monitor while you're at it. Ketsui (and a shitload of other PCBs) are only playable in TATE. I don't see a 50" Plasma going over on it's side... not to mention Ketsui will look like shit on it. As you're in the UK, for a few hundred GBP I'm sure you could get a very nice TV w/ Scart input.
Now, for the gun. Sigma is the best semi-commercial one you can buy. They make excellent sticks, too. For a mere 4,000 yen you can get a PS cable, allowing you top use the stick for your PS/PS2. They have a 21-pin RGB cable, which looks like Scart, but isn't. YOu'll need to convert the signal somehow if you go w/ this option.
There are other homebrew guns out there, but I've never bothered. I'm very pleased w/ my Sigma, so have never had a need.
There's plenty of info in the Hardware forum (where this thread is most surely going to be moved).

shikigami 3 is on a system called "taito type-x"
it is sort of jamma compilent (sound and power are external) not really complicated but maybe not the best of beginners material either, very expensive (altho i guess its on par with ketsui these days).
