NCSX accepting pre-orders for Taito Type-X Raiden IV kit

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

As of Monday, March 26, 2007, National Console Support Inc., is now accepting pre-orders (for the Taito based Type-X and Type-X+ PC Tower setups) of Seibu/Moss' upcoming "Raiden IV" Type-X arcade game kit.

If paying in the neighborhood of $1,500-$2,000+ USD seems like chmup change to you for a Raiden IV kit -- then by all means, place a pre-order... ^_~

-------------------
Question: So what would one get if paying that kind of serious $$$ or yen?

Answer: a brand new Raiden IV HDD + USB dongle key (without this special key, can't play it) along with the usual Raiden IV arcade paperworks to decorate a Japanese arcade cabinet setup. ^_~

It's slated to ship in mid-June of 2007 to Japanese entertainment centers (aka "arcades" to us Westerners)... ^_~

Hint: would be best to wait for a possible Raiden IV release for the Japanese PS2/PS3 console or PC port announcement (and easier on the pocketbook as well)..... ^_~

Hopefully if that UFO Interactive representative was telling the truth, we will see a port to the XBOX360.

Question for shmupper "RFK".....

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Thanks roker for that fixed update regarding the possible Raiden IV port... ^_~

For RFK,

Are you going to get this Type-X Raiden IV kit for your Type-X motherboard?

I think I'll continue to wait for an announcement regarding a PC release. $2000 is juuuuuust a touch outside my spending range.

How much does a brand new Taito Type-X or Type-X+ version PC tower setup go for? (And same question for either version in used condition?)

IIRC, the Type-X/X+ mobos can output in both 15 kHz & 31 kHz horizontal sync rates, right?
