DC - Shmups - Analog Stick?

Post by rapoon »

Hey guys,

New kid on the block. Just wanted to say hello and ask a quick question.

Do any of the DC shmups utilize the DC's analog stick? D-pad is fine. but analog stick can be fun at times.

Thanks

Depends on your idea of utlize. If you mean make use of it's analogue capatbilities, none that I can think of. You likely won't see something like that on an arcade port, which most of the DC shooting games are.
There might be some that let you use it. I know most of the games on Yu Suzuki Gameworks Vol. 1 make you use it, as there's no button config -- effeictively ruining the entire set of games.

False :!:

If you want 'fun', invest in a nice arcade stick. :)

Or an Sega/Agetech DC Arcade Stick modded with Seimitsu joystick & push buttons works wonders for your DC shmup needs as well. ^_~

Also, the Yu Suzuki's Gameworks Vol. 1 import for the DC doesn't even have built-in DC steering wheel support for the arcade racing game ports -- will have to make do with the "analog" stick for steering purposes. One can use such optional DC Agetech Stick setup with the Space Harrier arcade port on the GD-Rom disc collection though (which is a very nice bonus anyways). ^_~
