Double Ring (W wing)
Has anyone played this? I beat it on easy rank and I'm trying to beat normal. The weapon system reminds me a little of R-Type and there are some relatively good effects in some stages

Heh, I happened to have this listed on my lil' notebook of cleared shmups, and my score is 3,241,230 at 2-5.
Anyway, it is indeed a nice game. I like how the sprites are bit smaller than usual so that more action can be had on the screen. And the hidden stages are nifty.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Question about Data East's Hu-Card of "OverRide"
Was the Data East produced Hu-Card shmup title of "OverRide" based on an existing arcade game title or was it an original PC Engine game to begin with?neoalphazero wrote:The company behind the game is defunct so a Wii version is unlikely.
This and Override are my picks for most overlooked PCE games, both have excellent gameplay with at least decent presentation. It's a bit easy but enjoyable. *-neo
