Extended stock at japanese arcades?
What's the deal with cabinets at Hey in Tokyo set to 4+ life stock (non-default)? I went there just yesterday and found it a bit confusing that some ESP Galuda II and Ketsui cabs, among others, had weird dip settings. Is it for noobs who want to experiment with the system/more bang for the buck?

yeah proboably.
dont miss the best arcade in akihabara, its on the 6th floor of the only building in akihabara that doesnt sell games/electronics.
its on the main street and the front is a red pachinko place with a giant inflateable cat in the entrance and one of those human-size gundams too.. top floor is a cinema and the others sell food/clothes and general stuff.

Thats strange, I thought Hey used to contribute scores to Arcadia? That wouldn't make much sense if they are not set to defaults. Were all the games that way, or just a couple?zinger wrote:What's the deal with cabinets at Hey in Tokyo set to 4+ life stock (non-default)? They've got a special sign above them. Says something like, "I can do it... I just need a little more help!" or something to that effect. As long as you can read Japanese, you know what you're getting into.
I think most places say when they use non-defaults. I went to one place and played ESPGaluda. Noticing something was wrong, I noticed it was set to easy w/ 5 remains. Totally fucked the game up -- you need those bullets for points.
